Generally, you'll have to wait way longer for a new character. You won't get events with a bunch of new characters because just making one of them would take too much time. They were all great too even dumb Ragazzo! There's no way any of them will make it to Relink (maybe Feather or Fiorito gets in GBVS) but what if Relink was the main game and brand new characters just started off there?Ĭlick to shrink.Seeing the world and character in 3D is great and all but if Genshin is any indication, making any new content for a game like that is nightmare and the pace they can update the game will slow down considerably. Like the last gacha event at the end of November introduced probably a dozen characters that have had little to no exposure or were completely new. And without a gacha system behind the game there's no way that Relink will ever have enough characters to cover even a fraction of those appearing in the original gacha game. ![]() And Genshin has proven that it can work with a 3d world and characters. I know that live service gacha games will still get loud angry pushback here, but it's also clearly a popular game style and has been for almost a decade now lol. But the story and characters have always been great, and getting to see them in a fully realized 3d world is the dream. I've been losing pretty much all motivation with the gacha after more than 5 years of playing regularly. I was actually hoping this would turn into something like Genshin and become a replacement for the original gacha game rather than a self contained side game. The game producer has gone on record saying to not try to make too much sense of it, lol- just the reality of running a GaaS the crew has visited a summer resort for 6 years and counting, while Io doesn't age, while in the interm Gran/Djeeta noticably get more buff and Nicholas, a side character, has a kid that's now like 3. Granblue Versus had an entire arc related to archangels and the Crimson Horizon/Tower of Babyl, but where exactly it took place within those years are nebulous. there's a 'main timeline', and then a lot of self-contained arcs that 'take place somewhere along the way'. they possibly could do the introduction to the story (meeting Lyria + Katalina, setting off, etc) as a tutorial and then timeskip to the start of the game proper.įwiw Granblue's 'canon' itself is something that's abstracted in many ways. My hypothesis would be this is intended to be an entry point for new players ESPECIALLY considering how the website is laid out, so it'd be a self-contained arc with a definite start and end, set within the greater granblue canon. This new title will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in 2023.As mentioned past page, the original pitch was an alternate scenario of the starting part of the game, but seems to have gotten reworked to take place slightly past where the main story quest is in the gacha game right now with the mention of Zegagrande Skydom.
